2019 travel plans: I like to write a post at the beginning of year to write down my goals and what I want to achieve. I truly believe in writing things down. Putting pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) means it’s out there in the world. It’s manifested and it happens.
So, I wanted to write one for 2019 travel plans. Things are very much starting to take shape, and I am so excited for the year ahead.
I began the year by going to Marrakech at the beginning for 5 days for work. I was working for nearly all of it, but I did manage a dinner in the souks.
For my next trip… I have flights booked to Chile at the beginning of March!
One week Santiago to Santiago. I never been to Chile before, indeed I have never been to South America before. I’ll be travelling solo, so if anyone has any suggestions – please let me know. I would love to hear them!
After that I have my long awaited trip to Egypt and Jordan. This has been booked since April 2018, and I am beyond excited! 18 days of exploring the two countries, followed by 3 days relaxing by the Dead Sea. Pyramids, the Nile, Temples, Petra and desert. I absolutely cannot wait. Definitely going to be the highlight of the year.
Finally, I have tickets booked to my first Traverse conference in June in Trento. I still haven’t exactly worked out the dates I am going to go. But I am so excited to attending for the first time and to be going back to Italy.
There are still a few more things I want to fit in to the year.
Come Autumn time by best friend and I want to go on a fall road trip around New England. We are both huge fans of Autumn and I cannot think of anywhere better to visit! Just need to get booking…
My dad and I talked about a long weekend skiing with my brother, to celebrate my 30th birthday (gulp, denial!). I am still hoping to fit this in amongst everything else. I am not sure if I can do a year with a ski trip! Yes I know, first world problem
A year would also not be complete with a trip to Menorca. So that has to happen. Mainly because of this…
I think I would also like to fit in at least one city break. I need to get a few more ticked off this list.
Plus I have ideas floating around in my head about Scotland and also Dublin.
I had a weekend in Gdansk, Poland booked for February. But I have made the decision to postpone for now. Sometimes finances get a little too tight and I just can’t afford right now. Hoping to head towards the end of the year.
2019 travel plans summary
I thought at the beginning of the year I didn’t have much planned. But it is funny how things fit into place. I am so excited to know I am travelling to 5 continents this year. I mean, thats pretty incredible! Let’s see what else I can fit in.
