About Me

Who am I?

I’m Charlie, I’m in my late 20’s and I live in Norfolk, England.

I work full time in events and travel in my annual leave.

What inspires me?

I try to live by the quote ‘not all those who wander are lost’

Sometimes you can be lost in this world, but not having a purpose can lead to the best moments. Not having an end goal doesn’t mean I am lost.

Why blog?

I started this blog as a way of documenting my quest to visit 30 countries before I turned 30 years of age.

In 2016 I reached my 30th Country, Guatemala, but decided not to stop there.

As my travel life evolved, so did my blog and I carried on documenting where in the world I wander to.

I document my own memories and also share tips, thoughts, advice and also hope to inspire a little bit of wanderlust.

I don’t hide anything, this blog is about my real, honest and often very un-glamourous experiences.

Where have I been?

Childhood trips were full of European breaks

In 2014 I travelled solo around South East Asia

Spent 3 weeks in Central America in 2016

Summer 2017 I visited Mongolia

Every year I go on holiday to Menorca and skiing with my family

Visited New York 3 times and always itching to go back!

Camped for 2 weeks in East Africa

Head off on short breaks as often as I can can, usually in Europe

Other destinations: Japan, Tanzania, Ghana, Marrakech, Iceland and many more

Also a big advocate of a staycation

I hope you enjoy! Charlie x
